THE KEEPER OF VELLICHOR

Kvothe
Vellichor:
"The strange wistfulness of used bookstores, which are somehow infused with the passage of time ~ filled with thousands of old books you'll never have time to read, each of which is itself locked in its own era..." ~The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows by John Koenig.
HI, I'm the artist behind Vellichor.

I have always been drawn to quiet, imaginative nooks...
hidden corners, stories beneath the surface, and the feeling that something more is waiting to be found.

For a time, I drifted away from that world. But it never really left me. It was just waiting.

Out of my return grew a style I like to call 'Poetic Realism'. Soft, story-driven pieces inspired by nature, literature, fantasy, and quiet wonder.
I am proud to be an American, but I have always been drawn to history...especially the lineage of my ancestors. Genealogy has given me a deeper appreciation for the culture they lived.
Throughout my work, you'll often find traces of my Irish and Scandinavian heritage woven into the canvas. Reminiscent of places where folklore, symbolism and everyday life have long existed side by side.

My hope, is that when you step into Vellichor,
you feel a sense of calm and curiosity...like you've found something you didn't know you were looking for.
A place where art, story and a sense of wonder live.

I hope you wander a while.
